Overview

This position sits within our Accounting and Finance division which facilitates day-to-day cash flows of the company, analyzes assets and liabilities, and aids planning for future growth.

The Opportunity             

The finance team at ConstructConnect plays an integral role in driving growth & prioritizing resource allocation.  Whether it is producing financial reports, tracking performance metrics, creating financial forecasts, or building financial models, the finance team is relied upon to produce information that is used by business leaders to make strategic decisions.  In a business that is continuously transforming, financial analysts are intensely focused on process improvements & organizational optimization.  In addition to the day-to-day responsibilities, finance team members place a significant importance on continuous learning/development by devoting time towards training on Business Intelligence tools, SQL, advanced excel functionality, etc.

 

The Sr Director, FP&A should possess both analytical rigor as well as a strategic mindset, allowing them to be detail-oriented, but also see the big picture.  Candidates should be highly motivated and have a desire continuously learn & develop the skillsets of both themselves and their team members.  Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential to effectively lead the team.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Ownership of all forecasting, reporting, and analysis requirements.
  • Ownership Finance deliverables for Roper.
  • Ownership Annual Operating Plan (AOP) Financial deliverables.
  • Direct communication with Executive Leadership Team members on cross-functional efforts.
  • Direct management of three FP&A analysts, including:
    • Assigning and prioritizing deliverables and responsibilities across the team.
    • Reviewing and providing feedback on assigned deliverables.
    • Continuous emphasis on skill set development.
    • Regular 1x1s, performance reviews, paid time off requests, etc.
  • Oversight of financial models that drive reporting/forecasting.
  • Improvement of financial forecasting and reporting processes/capabilities through use of advanced tools.
  • Creating of financial reporting through PowerBI to drive visibility into key metrics.
  • Work on cross-functional projects with Sales, Product Development, IT, etc.
  • Lead process improvement opportunities across finance & other functions.

Qualifications

What You Bring to the Team

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 8-10 years of FP&A, corporate finance/accounting, or audit/consulting.
  • Experience managing high performing teams.
  • Advanced analytics and financial forecasting/modeling skills.
  • Advanced use of Microsoft Excel, PowerQuery, PowerPivot, and PowerBI.
  • Intermediate level of SQL, Python and/or other programming languages.
  • Understanding of subscription revenue model.
  • History of implementing process improvements.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively deal with ambiguity.
  • Experience leading and assigning responsibilities to team members.
  • Strong desire to learn & continuously develop skillsets.
  • Strong written, oral, and presentation skills.
  • Strong teamwork & interpersonal skills.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • The physical activities of this position include frequent sitting, telephone communication, working on a computer for extended periods of time. Visual acuity is required to perform activities close to the eyes.
  • Ability to work in office and remotely in Cincinnati, OH.
