The Opportunity

The Content Marketing Manager is a master at developing and managing engaging, compelling, insight-driven copy, meant to inform, educate, and persuade readers to act, while embodying ConstructConnect’s brand, voice, and tone. The Content Marketing Manager should understand user journeys and have a knack for thinking through what, when, and where messages will enhance the reader’s experience and move them along the buyer’s journey. Additionally, this role has a hand in helping create and manage lead generation and customer retention content. Strong creative writing and content strategy skills are desired, including but not limited to collaborating with integrated campaign managers.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Create and manage customer acquisition and retention content with key stakeholders across multiple teams.
  • Research, write, edit, proofread, publish, and manage high-quality and engaging blog and/or other promotional and informational articles geared towards the commercial pre-construction industry.
  • Research, write, edit, and manage copy for websites, landing pages, newsletters, emails, eBooks, infographics, PPC and other digital ads, partner materials, eZines, and sales collateral
  • Partner with the SEO team to ensure all online marketing content is optimized for search engines and adjust as needed
  • Collaborate on and implement A/B testing of messaging (where relevant) to improve SEO and lead generation
  • Establish and nurture relationships with internal and external sources to provide contributions to the ConstructConnect blog
  • Create and adhere to an in-house style guide for writing, addressing voice, tone, and grammar rules to ensure consistency in all copy, as well as ensuring correct adherence to trademark attribution for ConstructConnect’s products and services.
  • Stay on top of latest trends, technology, and news shaping the pre-construction industry.
  • Work in collaboration with Integrated Marketing, Creative, and Product teams to write, edit, publish, and manage compelling copy to attract, nurture, and convert prospects through each stage of the buyer’s journey.
  • Contribute content ideas based on target personas and funnel mapping with a bias for nurturing and conversion.
  • Create demand-generation content meant to compel readers to take action, driving lead volume and conversion.

Qualifications

What You Bring to the Team

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, English or related field
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience writing compelling marketing content, including blogs, articles, landing pages, email copy, sales enablement collateral, and website copy
  • Ability to understand and simplify complex information
  • Experience in writing for a variety of audiences with varying degrees of technical understanding
  • Experience analyzing content in digital environments such as content audits, content strategy recommendations, persona assessments, and taxonomy efforts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Creative agency experience preferred but not required
  • Must be able to provide writing samples that exemplify long and short-form content

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

    • The physical activities of this position include frequent sitting, telephone communication, working on a computer for extended periods of time. Visual acuity is required to perform activities close to the eyes.
    • Cincinnati or Atlanta hybrid work preferred
