Overview

This position sits within our Accounting and Finance division which facilitates day-to-day cash flows of the company, analyzes assets and liabilities, and aids planning for future growth.

 

The Opportunity 

 

The finance team at ConstructConnect plays an integral role in driving growth & prioritizing resource allocation.  Whether it is producing financial reports, tracking performance metrics, creating financial forecasts, or building financial models, the finance team is relied upon to produce information that is used by business leaders to make strategic decisions.  In a business that has significantly transformed over the past twelve months, financial analysts are intensely focused on process improvements & organizational optimization.  In addition to the day-to-day responsibilities, finance team members place a significant importance on continuous learning/development by devoting time towards training on Business Intelligence tools, SQL, advanced excel functionality, etc.  

Financial analysts should possess both analytical rigor as well as a strategic mindset, allowing them to be detail-oriented, but also see the big picture.  Candidates should be highly motivated and have a desire continuously learn & develop their skillsets.  Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential. 

Responsibilities

What You’ll Be Doing 

  • Ownership of bookings reporting & forecasting models across all segments
  • Ownership of Headcount reporting & forecasting 
  • Ownership of OpEx forecasting 
  • Improve financial forecasting & reporting processes/capabilities through use of advanced tools (PowerQuery, SQL, Excel, etc.) 
  • Build financial reporting dashboards through PowerBI to drive visibility into key metrics 
  • Build financial models in support of critical business initiatives 
  • Analysis of subscription revenue metrics to help drive decisions across the business  
  • Work on cross-functional projects with Sales, Product Development, IT, etc. 
  • Lead process improvement opportunities across finance & other functions

Qualifications

What You Bring to the Team 

  • Bachelor’s degree required 
  • 2-5 years of FP&A, corporate finance/accounting, or data analytics 
  • Advanced analytics and financial forecasting/modeling skills 
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills  
  • Understanding of PowerQuery, PowerPivot, and PowerBI (preferred) 
  • Understanding of SQL, Python and/or other programming languages (preferred) 
  • Understanding of subscription revenue model (preferred)  
  • History of implementing process improvements 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively deal with ambiguity 
  • Strong desire to learn & continuously develop skillsets 
  • Strong written, oral, and presentation skills 
  • Strong teamwork & interpersonal skills 

Physical Demands and Work Environment: 

  • The physical activities of this position include frequent sitting, telephone communication, working on a computer for extended periods of time. Visual acuity is required to perform activities close to the eyes.  
  • This position is located in Cincinnati, OH, with a hybrid/remote work schedule.
