The Manager, Analytics Engineering plays a key role in shaping our data-driven culture and strategy by leveraging the latest advancements in data technology. Responsible for orchestrating the end-to-end analytics process, from seamless data integration to deploying advanced analytics models, they collaborate with end users across the business to support the delivery of analytics capabilities. This role is not only crucial for enabling end users to make faster and better data-driven decisions but also emphasizes the importance of empowering others to explore and analyze data. Responsibilities

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead, mentor and inspire a high-performing data team fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of analytics projects, ensuring timely delivery of actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project objects and deliverables.
  • Collaborate closely with business leaders to understand their reporting needs and help design data models that effectively accommodate these requirements.
  • Quickly acquire an in-depth understanding of relevant business processes, data flows, their significance, and dependencies, enabling better data management decisions.
  • Research and recommend new database products, services, and protocols to stay at the forefront of database technology.
  • Take responsibility for the assessment and implementation of new database technologies, providing a long-term perspective on how they align with the organization's goals.
  • Develop and present clear and concise reports and visualizations to support decision making and answer tough analytical questions.
  • Align analytics initiatives with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Foster the professional development and growth of team members through mentorship, training, and performance feedback.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.

Qualifications

What You Bring to the Team

  • Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in data science, statistics, mathematics or related field.
  • 4-6 years of proven experience in a data analytics role, with a track record of managing successful analytics teams.
  • Experience with PowerBI or similar data visualization tools is preferred.
  • Familiarity with cloud data warehousing (Google BigQuery or similar), data pipeline services (Fivetran, Stitch or similar) and data transformation using SQL or Python (dbt).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to analyze situations, identify existing or potential problems and recommend solutions.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical audience.
  • Handles sensitive and confidential data/information.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:  

  • The physical activities of this position include frequent sitting, telephone communication, working on a computer for extended periods of time. Visual acuity is required to perform activities close to the eyes. 
  • This position is fully remote with only occasional travel to the office for team meetings and events. Team members are expected to have an established workspace. 
  • Ability to work remotely in the United States or Canada.
