Overview

This position sits within our IT Infrastructure division, which handles the combined set of software, hardware, networks, and facilities used to develop, test, deliver, monitor, control, or support IT Services.  

 

The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior System Administrator to join our Service Delivery team. This role is ideal for a seasoned IT professional with 5–7+ years of hands-on experience in end-user support. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the design, implementation, and support of our desktop systems. We are looking for a proactive problem solver with a robust technical background, capable of ensuring high availability, security, and performance across our systems environment. This includes expertise in Active Directory, Microsoft Azure/Entra, Company Portal, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Autopilot, and the Microsoft 365 Suite.

Responsibilities

What you will be doing

  • Primary Responsibility: Configure, manage, and maintain our Azure and Intune environments.
  • Administer and support Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra, Intune, and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Apply systems analysis techniques and procedures, consulting with users to diagnose hardware, software, and system issues and develop resolutions.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams and our department on Service Delivery Projects.
  • Create technical documentation and end-user training materials; support new computer deployments (refresh cycles) and equipment decommissioning.
  • Implement and configure InfoSec and security-related requests for end users.
  • Track and document IT assets, including computers and peripheral equipment.
  • Log and manage helpdesk interactions in the ticketing system; handle escalated issues from Level I and II staff and executive leadership team (ELT) members.
  • Proactively identify problem areas, develop preventive solutions, and recommend process improvements.
  • Maintain a strong focus on customer service, communication, quality, and accuracy.
  • Provide recommendations for improving IT architecture with an emphasis on redundancy, scalability, and security.
  • Partner with leadership to provide coaching and support to team members, fostering their professional growth and development through regular feedback, mentorship, and training opportunities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Qualifications

What You Bring to the Team

  • 5–7+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator, Support Lead, or equivalent.
  • 2- or 4-year degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Professional certifications such as MCP, MCITP: Windows Enterprise Desktop Administrator/Support Technician are strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Azure, Intune, and Office 365 administration.
  • Familiarity with modern technology trends, including AI, and how they impact IT environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills for technical support and project implementation.
  • Self-starter capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially in customer-facing interactions via phone and email.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Experience mentoring junior team members and sharing technical expertise.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • The physical activities of this position include frequent sitting, telephone communication, working on a computer for extended periods of time. Visual acuity is required to perform activities close to the eyes.
  • This position is a hybrid position and team members are expected to have a dedicated and established remote workspace.  
  • Ability to work hybrid in the Metro Atlanta (near Peachtree Corners)
