Overview

Marketing - This position sits within our Marketing division, which plans, directs, implements, and measures marketing programs for our company, people, and software products.

 

The Opportunity

As the Marketing Web Developer, you will play a crucial role in driving our digital marketing success across our WordPress portfolio including PlanSwift.com, OnCenter.com, and SmartBid.com. You will be responsible for implementing web strategies that generate inbound opportunities, build brand presence, and optimize our search engine visibility.

 

Your role focuses on executing web development initiatives that support our go-to-market strategies through effective storytelling, design implementation, and data-driven optimization. You will work in a collaborative environment where testing, experimentation, and continuous improvement are core to achieving marketing results.

 

The Marketing Web Developer will work closely with the Director, Brand & Digital Marketing to execute comprehensive SEO strategies and conversion optimization tactics, with a primary focus on filling the top of the funnel with motivated prospects while maximizing conversions across our web properties.

Responsibilities

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead web development strategies for our WordPress sites (PlanSwift.com, OnCenter.com, SmartBid.com) to drive inbound lead generation and sales opportunities.
  • Design, build, maintain, and optimize web pages, user interfaces and interactive digital experiences ensuring brand standards and web development best practices.
  • Execute continuous testing and experimentation across web properties, documenting results and sharing learnings with the broader marketing team.
  • Collaborate with SEO specialists to implement SEO strategies that increase organic search growth, visibility, and drive high-quality traffic to our web properties.
  • Support PPC campaign implementation through landing page optimization, A/B testing, and conversion rate improvements.
  • Analyze user behavior and web performance metrics to identify opportunities for improving page conversion rates and user experience.
  • Work closely with marketing, sales, and product teams to ensure web initiatives align with broader company objectives and lead generation goals.
  • Monitor and analyze web performance metrics, providing regular reporting on traffic, conversions, and SEO progress.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors on web development projects as needed.
  • Conduct quality assurance testing, bug reporting, and tracking across our digital marketing channels.
  • Stay current on web development technologies, SEO best practices, and digital marketing trends to drive continuous improvement.
  • Implement dynamic web content using APIs and various programming languages.
  • Build reusable code components and maintain code libraries for consistency and efficiency.
  • Ensure web experiences are accessible and compliant with federal accessibility regulations.
  • Maintain flexibility to adapt websites quickly in response to changing content, applications, and business priorities.
  • Assist with web hosting management and DNS record updates.

Qualifications

What You Bring to the Team 

  • 4+ years' experience in front-end web development with strong hand coding experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design frameworks.
  • 2+ years' experience building and managing websites in WordPress CMS.
  • Experience with SEO implementation and optimization strategies, with technical SEO experience a strong bonus.
  • Working knowledge of PHP, MySQL databases, and Git version control.
  • Experience with website analytics tools (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, HotJar).
  • Experience with A/B testing and conversion rate optimization.
  • Experience managing and updating multiple websites with frequent content updates and strong attention to design detail.
  • Understanding of B2B marketing funnels and lead generation strategies.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Sound business ethics, including protection of proprietary and confidential information.
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
  • Understanding technical SEO is a bonus.
  • Experience with HubSpot integration and CRM systems a plus.
  • Constantly operates a computer.
  • Frequently communicates verbally with peers and management.
  • Must be able to analyze detail close-up.

Physical Demands and Work Enviroment 

  • The physical activities of this position include frequent sitting, telephone communication, and working on a computer for extended periods. Visual acuity is required to perform activities close to the eyes. 
  • Team members are expected to maintain a dedicated and ergonomically appropriate remote workspace. 
  • Team members who live within commuting distance of our Atlanta office are expected to work in a hybrid capacity, with regular in-office presence as determined by the team or department.
