Overview

This position sits within our Product Development division, which develops, tests, and improves our software solutions in an innovative and collaborative environment.

The Opportunity 

The Associate Software Engineer works to enhance our product lines using a combination of technologies and standard engineering practices. They are responsible for working with the client application teams, quality assurance team, and architect team to ensure the delivery of high quality, high value product features. 

 

Responsibilities

What You’ll Be Doing 

  • Development of large-scale enterprise cloud platforms that service multiple client applications 
  • Build reusable code and libraries using efficient, testable coding practices 
  • Logically identify and resolve issues using root cause analysis
  • Provide development support in debugging and resolving defects as assigned, in support of assigned development projects and/or testing efforts
  • Provide estimates of level of work effort and time for completion 
  • Participate in scrum ceremonies

Qualifications

What You'll Be Doing

  • BS degree in Computer Sciences, programming or a related discipline or demonstrable equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with C#, JS, and/or Java
  • Working knowledge of databases and SQL queries
  • Fundamental understanding of Object-Oriented Programming Principles, Data Structures, and Algorithms 
  • Capable of implementing small pieces of functionality and bug fixes under the close guidance of a Senior Developer 
  • Capable of delivering work that has already been clearly defined and outlined 
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities 
  • Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task efficiently 
  • Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to analyze situations, identify existing or potential problems and recommend solutions 

Physical Demands and Work Environment    

  • The physical activities of this position include frequent sitting, telephone communication, and working on a computer for extended periods. Visual acuity is required to perform activities close to the eyes.
  • Team members who live within commuting distance of one of our office locations (Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky or Atlanta, Georgia) are expected to work in a hybrid capacity, with regular in-office presence as determined by the team or department.
  • All team members must reside and perform their work within the United States.
