Senior Technical Project Manager

Regular Full-Time

Overview

This position is hybrid in Peachtree Corners, Georgia and sits within our Product Development division, which develops, tests, and improves our software solutions in an innovative and collaborative environment.

The Opportunity

We are hiring a Senior Technical Project Manager to lead complex, cross-functional technology delivery inside the CTO organization at ConstructConnect. You will work alongside product leadership in a Product Operating Model (POM), translating product strategy into executable, well-governed delivery.

This is not a ticket-routing role. You will use AI-native tooling (Claude, Claude Cowork, and Claude Code) to compress planning, reporting, and coordination overhead, and you will coach teams to do the same. You are equally credible running a gated waterfall program and coaching a Scrum or Kanban team through a messy sprint.

We need someone who moves first, learns fast, and holds the room with executives without losing the trust of the engineers doing the work.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Be Doing

Delivery leadership

  • Own end-to-end delivery of multi-team technical initiatives, from intake and scoping through release and benefits tracking.
  • Select and tailor the right delivery approach for each initiative (waterfall, Scrum, Kanban, scaled Agile, or a hybrid) and explain the rationale to stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain integrated plans, dependency maps, RAID logs, and release roadmaps that hold up to executive scrutiny.
  • Identify risks early, escalate with options rather than problems, and drive decisions to closure.

Partnership with the Product Operating Model

  • Work in adjacency with product managers and engineering leads, keeping a clear line between product's "what and why" and delivery's "how and when."
  • Translate outcome-based roadmaps into sequenced, capacity-aware delivery plans without reverting teams to output-driven project thinking.
  • Surface cross-product dependencies and capacity conflicts to portfolio governance forums.

Jira and delivery tooling

  • Design and govern Jira project structures, workflows, issue hierarchies, and boards that serve both team-level execution and portfolio-level reporting.
  • Write and maintain JQL, dashboards, and filters that give leaders an honest view of progress, flow, and risk.
  • Enforce data hygiene so that reporting reflects reality, and coach teams on why it matters.

AI-enabled delivery

  • Use Claude, Claude Cowork, and Claude Code in daily delivery work: drafting plans and status narratives, synthesizing meeting outputs, analyzing Jira data, and automating repetitive reporting.
  • Identify where AI tooling can remove delivery friction, pilot it with teams, and share repeatable patterns across the PMO.
  • Apply sound judgment on data handling, accuracy checking, and human review of AI-generated outputs.

Executive communication and coaching

  • Present program status, trade-offs, and recommendations to VP and C-level audiences with clarity and brevity.
  • Coach delivery teams, Scrum Masters, and junior PMs on Agile practices, estimation, flow metrics, and continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate planning events, retrospectives, and steering meetings that end in decisions.
  • This job description in no way implies that the duties listed here are the only ones that team members can be required to perform

Qualifications

What You Bring to the Team

  • 10+ years of technical project or program management in software, SaaS, or platform engineering environments.
  • Deep, hands-on experience delivering under waterfall/predictive methods and at least two Agile modalities (for example Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or LeSS), including hybrid models.
  • Advanced Jira expertise: workflow and scheme design, issue hierarchy configuration, JQL, dashboards, and portfolio-level reporting (Jira Plans/Advanced Roadmaps or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated, practical use of Claude in delivery work, with hands-on exposure to Claude Cowork and/or Claude Code. Be ready to show us real examples of how you used them.
  • Experience working alongside product management in a Product Operating Model or similar product-led structure.
  • Enough technical fluency to engage engineers credibly on architecture, environments, CI/CD, and release management.
  • A track record of presenting to and influencing senior executives.
  • Experience coaching teams and individuals on Agile practices and delivery discipline.

Nice to have

  • PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM/CSP, SAFe, or comparable certification.
  • Experience automating Jira reporting or delivery workflows with scripts, APIs, or AI agents.
  • Experience standing up or maturing a PMO, delivery practice, or AI adoption program.
  • Background in construction technology, B2B SaaS, or data and marketplace products.
  • Familiarity with flow metrics (cycle time, throughput, WIP) and outcome-based portfolio management.

How you operate

  • Bias for action. You make reversible decisions quickly, move with imperfect information, and course-correct in the open. You do not wait for permission to unblock a team.
  • Executive presence. You are calm under pressure, concise in the room, and willing to deliver bad news early with a recommendation attached.
  • Coaching mindset. You grow the capability of the people around you rather than becoming the bottleneck. You ask before you tell.
  • Learning velocity. You pick up new tools, domains, and ways of working quickly, and you can point to something you learned in the last 90 days and put to use.
  • Pragmatism over dogma. You care about outcomes, not methodology purity, and you can explain why a given approach fits a given problem.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  •  The physical activities of this position include frequent sitting, telephone communication, and working on a computer for extended periods. Visual acuity is required to perform activities close to the eyes.
  • Team members are expected to maintain a dedicated and ergonomically appropriate remote workspace.
  • Team members who live within commuting distance of one of our office locations (Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky or Atlanta, Georgia) are expected to work in a hybrid capacity, with regular in-office presence as determined by the team or department.
  • All team members must reside and perform their work within the United States.
